Here are some reflections on the whole experience of orientation:
Sec one orientation was such a wonderful experience for me, every single moment of it. As cliched as it might sound, it really taught me the heart about being a PSL, how being a PSL is really about loving those around you. Through the crazy week of activities, I learnt the value in doing the small things, about how they are important despite being overlooked. Example, when the sec ones see me and start waving to me frantically with so much eagerness and excitement, it just brings me so much joy. Though their actions might be simple- just a wave, it really helped me think back to the reason why I became a PSL- to love those around me, when it got tiring and stressful. My classics were also seriously amazing, so this is a shout out to them: CHINGYEE, FUIJIN, VANESSA, XINHUI, SHUYING I LOVE YOU GUYS!
PSB, always treasure the orientation experience, and come out of it a stronger, better person, with a greater purpose and passion for PSB! <3
THANK YOU GUYSS!

Saying that the Sec 1 Orientation was a blast would definitely be an understatement. It was absolutely terrific! :) I enjoyed every single minute of it and it was quite a memorable experience, viewing orientation from a PSL point of view. On the other hand, the showering for the Year 1s was really rushed and chaotic. I think what had happened was that the classes which showered first used up too much time, leaving the second batch behind schedule, and that made Year 1s late for RI. Some Year 1s even told me that they didn't get a chance to shower. Moreover, the classes didn't really go to their designated toilet, everyone was scrambling all over the place. It would be very much appreciated if it was more organized (though it's like this every year). :D But the rest are really great and I think that the Sec 1s absolutely loved it too. It was really heartening to see them grow so much within a week!!!

ORIENTATION WAS SOOOO FUN!! :D I've really learnt a lot from it but I just don't know how to put it into words. It feels really great to see and hear that the Year Ones enjoyed themselves! :D I enjoyed myself too!! Although I do think that maybe they could tell us to start preparing slightly earlier (like for the certificate) so we can have more time to prepare and all :/ All in all, it was awesome and an experience I will remember FOREVER and would DEFINITELY do it again! :)

Orientation 2011 is truly a very memorable event for me, one that I will never ever forget! Through this experience, I gained a lot of exposure and also got to know awesome friends and juniors! It really made me believe the influence PSLs have on Sec 1 juniors. I remembered my class being unresponsive for the first few days, not cheering loudly or behaving in any enthusiastic way. However, when we(PSLs) encouraged them to do so and demonstrated to them, there slowly came a response and in the end, 113 was anything but enthusiastic and bonded J
Being a part of Orientation, it has certainly reignited my Rafflesian spirit as well! My spirit somehow started to die down ever since all those PTs came in last year. However, this Orientation has definitely made me recreate my identity as an RGS girl. While cheering and conducting PSL sessions with the Year 1s, I start to feel the sense of satisfaction and the purpose of being a true RafflesianJ
Of course, apart from the good things, there are also some areas for improvement. For example, perhaps we should inform the Sec 1s about the change in schedule on an earlier date so that everybody (including the PSLs) can be informed, and also about the bathing time. But on the whole, Orientation is really really AWESOME!
Thank ya 113 CLASSICS! CRYSTAL, KIT YIN, SHAUNA AND LIMIN! I LOVE YOU!
