Orientation- Station games!

THE EXCITING AND ABSOLUTELY THRILLING STATION GAMES!(:

Station games was one of the main highlights of the orientation programme! It was held near the end of orientation, and it was definitely one of the main factors that bonded the Year 1 classes. Cheers resounded throughout the school as each class screamed their self- created class cheers to make their presence felt to the other classes, and of course to get more points and cheer their classmates on.

We started off with the Class Flag Parade, where all the nicely crafted class flags were presented!

Each class was to 'search' for missing pieces of a Lollipop by completing assigned classes at each station as a class, while keeping the appointed treasure keeper safe from the candymen who would be trying to take photos of the treasure keepers which would result in a loss of points!

The many stations proved to be very challenging yet extremely fun and engaging! Through the games, the Year 1s, (and us PSLs!) learnt many things, such as the importance of teamwork, communication, and of course perseverance. The Year 1s cheered each other on and kept their spirits up. Here are some photos:

After all their stations, using all the parts that they collected, they pieced all the parts of the lollipop together which would reveal a word. All the words and symbols put together formed the line "WE HEART HOUSE :)"  That concluded Station Games 2011, I'm sure everyone has had a lot of fun and have learnt a lot from this experience!

Thank you Station Games Committee 2011!
